Journey Church is a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of New Zealand. In naming the church Journey, we recognize that each believer has their own story of how they came to faith in Christ. Regardless of the circumstances of the faith story, this is just the first step of our faith journey.
Just as the biblical disciples left their old lives when Jesus said ‘Come, follow me …’ Jesus calls us all to a new way of living. When we respond to His call, we begin a lifelong journey following in His footsteps, growing in God’s grace, guided by His Holy Spirit.
This journey calls us to fellowship with other believers and encourages us to guide people towards salvation through Christ, who is the way, the truth and the life. As such, we are an evangelistic church.
